Every year hundreds of people enter the Hysteria Writing Competition, and every year thirty entries are published in the annual anthology. Of those thirty entries, three are selected by our magnificent panel of readers as the overall category winners, each winning a cash prize as well as publication.
I’m often asked what it takes to win a writing competition and for the first time I decided to put together a free online course to help writers out. It was a great success and many budding authors and writers have taken part, each learning a little about how they can improve their competition entries along the way.
Whilst the competition has ended for this year, and the course is now closed until next year, I thought a simple guide made up of the four worksheets might be useful for you as a little gift to say thank you for joining me on my website. Each worksheet has a checklist of things to pay attention to, as well as some suggestions if you’re stuck for ideas
