I had a total abdominal hysterectomy just after my 43rd birthday due to 2 very large fibroids making my uterus the equivalent of a 16 week pregnancy. It was the second time the fibroids had re-occurred having already had a myomectomy 9 years ago.
Hi everyone. My name is Jan and I had a hysterectomy in 2014. Since 1998 I had a history of abnormal cervical smears which were treated in different ways many times. During that period I also had VAIN 2 pre-cancerous cells in the vagina. I have had bleeding in the urine from sept 2013 and was told it was looking like bladder cancer and was kept in hospital and underwent several tests. It wasn’t thank God. no reason for bleed given. Then as I still had abdominal pain and a history of ovarian cancer with grandmother they investigated me for possible ovarian cancer. Transvaginal scan ok and ultrasound fine. Then they investigated my bowel.
Hi to you all, I don’t know where to start really, I’m not sure if I have enough space here to tell you the whole story but I will try. Okay I’m 44 years young, married to my wonderful hubby for 17 years but we’ve been together for 27 years! I can hear your brains calculating how old we were when we got together…well I’ll tell you, we were both 17 years old. Yes babies ourselves really. I went on the pill once we started to have a sexual relationship, I really didn’t want to be a young mum, so many girls where I grew up were all falling pregnant and then being left on their own with the baby and I knew that wasn’t what I wanted, plus I didn’t want to disappoint my lovely mum dad.
Hi, my name is Donna and I am 40 years old, married with two beautiful girls aged 13 & 9..and here is my story so far…
I am 42 and here is my story. I have had endometriosis for years. Two years ago I started to get a dull pain in my right side which was on and off and then became constant. I was referred to a gynaecologist who diagnosed a fibroid and also endometriosis and some cysts on my right ovary, I also had some adhesions from having previous laproscopies.
